GeMiC 2025 took place in the Hör­saalzen­trum of Dres­den Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy on March 17–19, 2025.

Dres­den Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy (TUD) is one of the largest uni­ver­si­ties of tech­nol­o­gy in Ger­many and is among the lead­ing and most dynam­ic uni­ver­si­ties in Ger­many. As a uni­ver­si­ty with 17 fac­ul­ties in five Schools, TUD offers a broad vari­ety of 119 degree cours­es and cov­ers a wide research spec­trum in the research pri­or­i­ty areas Health Sci­ences, Bio­med­i­cine & Bio­engi­neer­ing, Infor­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy & Micro­elec­tron­ics, Smart Mate­ri­als & Struc­tures, Ener­gy, Mobil­i­ty & Envi­ron­ment as well as Cul­ture & Soci­etal Change. Around 29,000 stu­dents are enrolled at TUD.
Since 2012, TUD has been one of eleven “Uni­ver­si­ties of Excel­lence” and receives per­ma­nent fund­ing with­in the frame­work of the Excel­lence Strat­e­gy of the Fed­er­al and State Gov­ern­ments as of Novem­ber 2019. Its core ele­ments are the Excel­lence pro­pos­al “TUD 2028 — Syn­er­gy and beyond” with the unique research alliance DRES­DEN-con­cept and three Clus­ters of Excel­lence.

By bus: Bus ser­vice 66 stop “Tech­nis­che Uni­ver­sität Dres­den (Fritz-Foer­ster-Platz)” is locat­ed direct­ly in front of Hör­saalzen­trum. Click here to plan your route.

By tram: Use tram ser­vices 3 and 8 from down­town Dres­den to stop “Nürn­berg­er Platz”, then about five min­utes on foot. Click here to plan your route.

By car: Type “Bergstraße 64, 01069 Dres­den” into your nav­i­ga­tion sys­tem. Be aware that there are no park­ing garages close to Hör­saalzen­trum! Only a few park­ing spots can be found in the streets in the direct vicin­i­ty of the con­fer­ence loca­tion. There­fore, we rec­om­mend to use pub­lic trans­porta­tion.
